The 1203-GU6 communications module from Allen-Bradley can communicate with different Allen-Bradley drives through a SCANport cable and sometimes through datalinks. The module is powered by a supply input voltage of 85 to 264 Volts AC with One (1) SCANport and One (1) DeviceNet communication port.
The 1203-GU6 is an Enhanced DeviceNet communication module manufactured by Allen-Bradley that is utilized to establish link between SCANport communication enabled devices and DeviceNet network or devices as well. The module converts or interprets DeviceNet messages to SCANport language or message that may be used by the product as information or operational data and parameter.
The Enhanced DeviceNet module has Two (2) ports found on the front panel of the module that are intended for SCANport and DeviceNet connection. The SCANport terminal is designed with an 8-Pin female mini-DIN connector while the DeviceNet port is a 5-Pin or 10-Pin connector that is supplied with the module.
