The Hakko 498 system tester checks wrist straps, grounding wires, and the contact resistance
between the wrist strap and the skin quickly and simply.

# Procedure :
- Plug in the lead provided with the 498.
- Set the decade resistance box per Table I and connect it between the clip on the 498 lead
and one end of the test lead.
- Press the touch-plate down with the free end of the test lead. Be sure to hold the insulated
portion of the lead so that body resistance does not enter into the loop.
- Check the reading against Table I, below, to verify upper and lower limits.
